Latinoware 2009

For three days, Foz do Iguaçu was the Latin American’s capital of free software – Latinoware. From Thursday to Saturday, Latinoware 2009 met 4 thousand people who participated in lectures and 40 courses and short courses to industry, taught by experts from around the world.
As usual, the Ubuntu’s stand was one of the most visited by the audience.
What’s the outcome when you get together ubuntu-br, ubuntu-sp and Fuctura – The Official Ubuntu’s training center in Brazil? Success! You may always expect success when these three groups join efforts.
There, people found information about how to get the Ubuntu Professional Certification – UCP, information about games, troubleshooting, system installation, community, got cd copies, etc.
During the event, we received the invitation to speak at the 4th Santa Catarina’s Free Software Congress that will take place on 25 and November 26 2009, in Santa Catarina.
There was also a stand of the Brazilian Air Force showing the process of migrating to free software at the Air Force Command, using Ubuntu as their operating system. They stepped into our stand and we had a conversation about the community and how we would help them.
